Lewmar’s patented ‘one touch’ feature uses a plunger pin and ball mechanism similar to that employed by the quick release steering wheels used in Formula 1 racing. To insert, simply squeeze the release lever (which runs the entire length of the arm) and place into winch. To remove, just squeeze the release lever again and lift up. All it takes is one hand. Finally you can spend less time fiddling around and more time racing, cruising and/or beverage holding.
The Alloy handle is a lightweight, forged construction and also provides corrosion resistance. The smaller turning radius of an 8 in. winch handle can offer rapid action when speed is more important than power. They are also ideal for smaller boats with restricted space.
